VESTAL, N.Y. - The Binghamton University Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Michael Kalinich as its Assistant Athletic Director for Corporate Partnerships. He will be responsible for prospecting and cultivating new leads, designing sponsorship packages and signing new business. In addition, Kalinich will also be in charge of renewing current partners selling Bearcats advertising inventory, including-but not limited to-radio and television spots, facility signage, promotions, internet/new media, and print for all of the Athletic Department's properties and facilities.

Kalinich, who brings 26 years of sales and marketing experience to Binghamton, has been the President of Sawtelle Travel in Vestal, N.Y. since 1993. “Mike Kalinich is a hard-working, competent individual with outstanding credentials that will bring a tremendous attitude, presence, and energy to our staff along with his years of sales experience,” Binghamton University’s Senior Associate Athletic Director Jason Siegel said. “We look forward to his interaction with our staff and coaches, our corporate partners, and the community.”

"The athletic programs at BU are on the rise and to be able to use my skills to drive revenue and help build a winning tradition is an incredible opportunity and a dream come true," Kalinich said.
