New Baseball Complex planned for 2012 The Bearcats will soon be playing in a state-of-the-art complex as the University embarks on a multi-million dollar reconstruction of the current Varsity Field. The new facility, reconfigured in the same location as the existing field, will feature many amenities, including: New natural grass surface with irrigation, drainage and professional-grade infield dirt Stadium seating Professional-style sunken dugouts Bullpens located behind the outfield fence 30-foot center field batters eye Press box and sound system Wired for future lights "This new facility will be a tremendous boost to our program. It will be one of the premier facilities in the region and give our student-athletes every opportunity to develop their skills and reach their full potential.
