Hoy Field. The Big Red (5-16) used a three-hit rally with two outs in the sixth to forge ahead, and three pitchers limited the Bearcats (9-11) to five hits in the non-conference win. Freshman pitcher Mike Augliera started and allowed just one hit in three innings - a solo home run in second inning. Augliera struck out two and didn't walk a batter. Freshman Alex Adami (0-1) surrendered the other run in his 2.2 innings of work. Senior Greg Lane pitched 1.1 scoreless innings. Sophomore center fielder Corey Taylor went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Sophomore catcher Jeff Skelhorne-Gross went 2-for-2 and scored Taylor with an RBI single in the second inning. Skelhorne-Gross is hitting a team-best .400 this spring. Binghamton will host Canisius in a single game at 1:30 on Thursday. |
