America East Release

VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton sophomore baseball pitcher Scott Diamond (Guelph, Ontario) has been honored by the America East Conference as its co-Pitcher of the Week.

In his lone start of the week, Diamond (5-5) fired a two-hit shutout over Hartford on Friday. He gave up doubles in the first and third innings and nothing else. Diamond struck out four and retired the side in order in the fifth through eighth innings before departing in the ninth.

Diamond owns a 2.77 earned run average in five conference starts.

The Bearcats next head to Louisiana for a three-game non-conference set at University of New Orleans.
