Immediate Release: April 23, 2007 VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton junior pitcher Scott Diamond (Guelph, Ontario) has been named America East co-Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced Monday. Diamond (3-2) tossed a complete-game four-hit shutout against UMBC on Saturday, striking out five and walking one. He allowed just three singles and a double in his first complete game of the spring. Diamond's earned run average in league play is 2.65. Diamond joins rotation mate Zach Groh as conference honorees. Groh has won the weekly award twice, including last week. Binghamton hosts Le Moyne in a non-conference game at 4 p.m. on Tuesday. |
