America East Release

VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton junior baseball pitcher Zach Groh (Reading, Pa.) has been honored by the America East Conference as its Pitcher of the Week for April 9-15. It is the second time he has been selected this spring.

Groh, the reigning America East Pitcher of the Year, shut down Vermont on five hits in a 4-0 Bearcat victory to open the three-game series this past weekend. Groh surrendered only singles and struck out seven in eight innings of work. He improved to 2-1 on the season and lowered his earned run average to 1.93 in conference games.

The first-place Bearcats (12-10. 6-1 AE) next head to UMBC for a four-game set with the Retrievers on April 20-22.
