Release: July 17, 2008 Hurley went 5-1 with a 1.23 ERA for Team Ontario last summer and earned a bronze medal with the Ontario Youth team at the Canada Cup. He was named the Central Ontario Pitcher of the Year in 2005. "A very polished right-handed pitcher, Billy has a chance to make an immediate impact in our baseball program as a freshman," Sinicki said. "He brings a wealth of experience to Binghamton, having pitched against a very high level of competition in Canada. Billy's an extremely bright young man who exemplifies the type of student-athlete we are looking for in our program." Sinicki's most recent Ontario pitching recruit was Scott Diamond, who is currently 8-1 playing for the Atlanta Braves Class A Advanced team in Myrtle Beach. Calderone is a 5-foot-8, 170-pound infielder who put up impressive numbers at Oakton Community College (Ill.) this past spring. He earned team MVP and second team all-conference honors after hitting .391 with 22 RBI and a team-high 18 stolen bases. As a freshman, Calderone started 48 games for NAIA University of St. Francis (Ill.) and hit .324 with 24 RBI. "Jim
