Binghamton baseball loses to No. 28 Oklahoma State 23-3
Host Cowboys explode for 16 runs in first three innings

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State (6-3), ranked No. 28, plated 16 runs in the first three innings and rolled over visiting Binghamton (0-2) 23-3 Saturday from Reynolds Stadium.

The host Cowboys sent 14 men to the plate in the first inning alone and jumped out to an 8-0 lead. They then tacked on four more runs in both the second and third innings respectively to go up 16-0.

For Binghamton, sophomore Brendon Hitchcock (Laceyville, Pa.) went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and two RBI.

The loss was tagged to freshman southpaw Scott Diamond (Guelph, Ontario) who is 0-1 on the season.

Binghamton concludes its three-game set with the Cowboys on Sunday at 1 p.m. EST.
