Immediate Release: March 10, 2007 RADFORD, Va. - Host Radford University (6-7) shut down Binghamton (1-4) on three hits and stretched a 3-1 lead with six runs in the last two innings en route to a 9-2 win Saturday afternoon from Dedmon Center Park. The
Highlanders scored single runs in each of the third, fourth and
fifth innings before BU countered with one in the sixth. But
Radford broke the game open with a four-spot in the seventh inning
and two more in the eighth. Binghamton, which plated its final
run in the ninth, was outhit 14-3. Defensively, BU made three
errors which led to four unearned runs. |
