Release: April 15, 2008 LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. Host Siena (10-22) plated five runs in the second inning and went on to a 6-2 win over Binghamton (10-21) in a non-conference game Tuesday afternoon at Siena Field. Binghamton, which was outhit 12-6, opened the scoring with a run in the top of the second inning. But the Saints answered with five runs on five hits in the bottom of the frame. Siena rapped three run-scoring hits with two outs. Junior
Kyle Klee (Rochester, N.Y.) went 2-for-4
and freshman Brian Ivan (Toronto, Ontario)
and junior Tom Baileys (Apalachin,
N.Y.) delivered RBI hits. Junior Ryan Holley
(Frankfort, Ill.) had a double and a run scored. In the midweek contest, BU used five pitchers, with each going either one or two innings. Binghamton returns home to host reigning America East champion Albany in a four-game weekend series. Friday's nine-inning contest begins at 3 p.m. |
