Binghamton baseball skipper Sinicki reaches 200-win milestone

Binghamton University head baseball coach Tim Sinicki recorded his 200th career victory with the Bearcats' 9-6 victory over Radford University on March 7. He is in his 12th season at the helm of Binghamton's Division I program, and is already the winningest coach in the program's 48-year history. During his tenure, Binghamton has made a successful transition from NCAA Division III to Division I and its current affiliation with the America East Conference.

Along the way, Sinicki's teams have played post-season four times, capturing the 1997 ECAC Division III Upstate Championship and the 2000 ECAC Division II Championship. During the program's transition to Division I, three of Sinicki's players have signed professional contracts.

A 1988 graduate of Western Carolina University, Sinicki twice pitched in the NCAA Division I tournament for the Southern Conference champion Catamounts. He also was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 1986 Amateur Draft.

Sinicki took over the reigns at Binghamton in 1993. His career record now stands at 200-235.
