WEST POINT, N.Y.--Binghamton was unable to protect a three-shot lead heading into the final round of the Army Fall Golf Classic, finishing in a tie for second out of 15 teams. The Bearcats fired a 286-297=583 to finish deadlocked with the host Black Knights. Central Connecticut won the event with a 292-290=582.

"We didn't get some of the bounces we got yesterday," head coach Nick Lasky said. "Central Connecticut shot the round of its life and tying Army is pretty good on their course. Still, we left some shots out there today."

Sophomores Jeff Wolniewicz (West Seneca, N.Y.) and junior Kevin Crawford (Lockport, N.Y.) tied for fifth out of 77 golfers with a two-day score of 144. Junior Brad Moulton (Orangeville, Ontario) finished in a tie for 15th place with a 147. Sophomore Aaron Ungvarsky (Wilmington, Mass.) was 27th (150) and
freshman Zach Vinal
(Syracuse, N.Y.) had the kick-out score of 151 to finish 34th.

Binghamton travels to the Yale Invitational next weekend.
