Men's golf finishes fifth out of 12 at the Dartmouth Invitational
Wolniewicz ties for sixth out of 66 with rounds of 78-70-73

HANOVER, N.H. - Binghamton shot rounds of 305-304-309 to finish fifth out of 12 teams at the 54-hole Dartmouth Invitational, played Sunday and Monday at the Hanover Country Club. Johnson & Wales (Fla.) won the event after totalling 873. Dartmouth was second (898), followed by Central Connecticut State (901), Yale (912) and BU (918) in the top five.

Junior Jeff Wolniewicz (West Seneca, N.Y.) tied for sixth place among 66 individuals after shooting 78-70-73=221. Sophomore Zach Vinal (Syracuse, N.Y.) was in a tie for 11th place (76-74-76=226). Senior Kevin Crawford (Lockport, N.Y.) tied for 25th place (75-79-80=234), junior Aaron Ungvarsky (Wilmington, Mass.) placed 34th (77-81-80=238) and junior Matt Mattingly (Manlius, N.Y.) was tied for 39th (77-84-81=242).

"It wasn't the result that we wanted," head coach Nick Lasky said.

Binghamton next heads to New Jersey for the Rutgers Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
