BU continues record-breaking week with No. 106 ranking

Katz tabbed No. 126 in individual poll

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- The Bearcats continue to ride a wave of momentum in the first few weeks of the 2010 fall campaign. A day after capturing its fifth all-time team title at the Cornell Invitational, BU was tabbed as No. 106 in the country - its highest-ever ranking as a Division I program. With a confidence level at an all-time high, the Bearcats squad can expect that ranking to improve since the latest Golfweek/Sagarin ranking didn't include the weekend's first-place finish.

Senior Jake Katz, who turned in a runner-up performance at the Missouri Tiger Intercollegiate and an eighth place finish in the Adams Cup of Newport, was ranked No. 126 in the individual poll. His ranking will also improve in next week's poll, which will take into account his medalist effort of 5-under 211 at Cornell.

The following list represents BU's team ranking since becoming a Division I program in 2001-02.

2010-11 -- 106 (current ranking)
2009-10 -- 203
2008-09 -- 208
2007-08 -- 217
2006-07 -- 185
2005-06 -- 211
2004-05 -- 218
2003-04 -- 188
2002-03 -- 144
2001-02 -- 185
