Surdey awarded with America Sky Player of the Week

Senior Mike Surdey recently was honored by the America Sky for his runner-up finish over the weekend at Cornell

Bearcats three-peat as Cornell Invitational champions

With a 54-hole total of 871 (+7), Binghamton wins its first tournament of the fall season at Cornell.

Senior Mike Surdey and sophomore Paul Andrews shot even-par giving them both a runner-up finish.

NCAA grants automatic bid to champion of America Sky

This year's 2012 America Sky Championship winner is elgible to punch their ticket to NCAA tournament

Recent graduate Jake Katz records first pro victory

On September 7th, Jake Katz '11 picked up his first tournament victory as a pro competing in the West Florida Golf Tour.

In what was his first pro start, Katz shot a (-6) 66 at Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club in Dade City, Florida.

BU notches seventh- place finish at Maryland Intercollegiate.

Junior David Cellura (T-12) posted rounds of 66-75-70 (-2). His opening round of 66 (-5) marks the second lowest score in program history.

Bearcats finish ninth place at season opening Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate

Sophomore Bryce Edmister paced the ninth place Bearcats with a 54-hole total of 220 (+4).

Edmister finished tied for 18th individually.

Katz competes at 111th running of the U.S. Amateur Championship

Recent graduate Jake Katz shot a 36-hole total of 148 (+6) at the U.S. Amateur Championship in Erin, Wisconsin.

Katz, who missed the cut, finished 182nd out of 315 individuals.

Edmister qualifies for US Amateur Public Links Championship

Bryce Edmister fired a 36-hole total of 146 to secure medalist honors and a spot in the 2011 US Amateur Public Links. Only two spots qualified from Victor's Ravenwood G.C. Junior Mike Surdey was named a second alternate for the event (149).

Lemp earns coveted Fulbright Scholar Award

Senior golfer Mike Lemp was named a Fulbright Scholar earlier this week. He will be teaching English to high school students in Germany as a part of an English Teaching Assistantship.

Katz earns historic bid to NCAA Regionals

Two-time America Sky Player of the Year Jake Katz earned an individual bid to the NCAA Regionals, the school's first individual participant in program history.

Bearcats place fourth at America Sky Championship

Binghamton posted a final round of 303 to place fourth at the conference championship.

Senior Jake Katz was named America Sky Player of the Year for the second straight season.

Bearcats climb to third-place through 36 holes at America Sky Championship

Binghamton posts second-lowest total of the day at 298, climbs within striking distance of conference title.

BU will compete in Wednesday's final pairing at 8:00 a.m. (PST).

Bearcats post 307 in opening round of America Sky Championship

BU is tied for sixth through the first round of competition. Senior Jake Katz carded a 2-over-par 73, five shots behind opening round leader.

Head coach Herceg Q&A

Acclaimed local golf professional Bernie Herceg was named BU's new golf coach on April 24, 2008. He has been the PGA Director of Golf at BU's home course - The Links at Hiawatha Landing - for 10 years. The Links, located in nearby Apalachin, N.Y., has been most recently ranked the third best public access course in New York State by Goldweek Magazine, and Herceg has served as its head pro since 1996. As he enters his first year at Binghamton in 2008-09, Herceg shared insight into his background, teaching philosophy and goals for the Bearcats golf program
