BU golf wins George Mason Intercollegiate by 18 strokes
Bearcats shoot final-round 302, claim four of the top five finishers

Final Results

LORTON, Va.– Binghamton golf won its third title of the year on Monday, capturing the 36-hole George Mason Patriot Intercollegiate by 18 strokes. The Bearcats shot 310-302=612 at the 6,874-yard, par-72 Laurel Hills Golf Course, outdistancing runnerup George Washington (630), host George Mason (650), Central Connecticut State (651) and Georgetown (651).

Binghamton had four of the top five individuals in the field, including medalists Patrick Donovan and Trevor Fiedler, who shared top honors with Brendan Barrack of GW at +8 152. Donovan, a junior, shot 77-75, while the sophomore Fiedler carded a pair of 76s in his best collegiate tournament finish.

Sophomore Jake Katz (78-76) and junior Mike Corbo (79-75) were in a tie for fourth place at 154. Sophomore Andrew Marler shot 83-79 to finish 13th.

The Bearcats also played in the George Mason Shootout on Tuesday, finishing third in that 18-hole event.
