REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. Binghamton shot 312 to place fifth out of nine teams Monday at the Rehoboth Beach Spring Invitational, contested at the 6,480-yard, par-71 Kings Creek CC. The 36-hole tournament was reduced to 18 holes due to weather.
Maryland won the event with a round of 296. Host Penn (302), Bryant (305), Villanova (310) and BU (312) rounded out the top five.
Junior Patrick Donovan shot a 3-over 74 to tie for seventh in the field of 50. Donovan recorded four birdies - most in the field. Sophomores Jake Katz and Trevor Fiedler came in at 79, junior Mike Corbo shot 80 and senior J.J. Shearer carded an 83.
The Bearcats will compete at the New England Championship at Triggs Memorial GC in Providence on April 10-11.
