Release: April 20 2008 STATE COLLEGE, Pa. In the team's final round of the 2007-08 season, Binghamton golf shot 318 to finish 11th place out of 12 teams at the 54-hole Rutherford Invitational, hosted by Penn State on its par-71, 7,202-yard course. The host Nittany Lions won the event with rounds of 286-286-306=878. The Bearcats finished at 304-311-318=933. Senior Zach Vinal (Syracuse, N.Y.) shot 70-75-77 to tie for fifth place out of 66 individuals. It was his sixth top-10 finish in 10 tournaments this year. Sophomore Mike Corbo (Mendham, N.J.) shot 76-77-84=237, freshman Jake Katz (Williamsville, N.Y.) came in at 82-80-77=239, senior Ryan Gabel (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) finished his career with rounds of 85-79-80=244, and sophomore Patrick Donovan (Oswego, N.Y.) shot 76-81-88=245. |
