|Binghamton places seventh of 14 schools at Tillinghast|
|SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- The Binghamton University Bearcats closed out the fall golf season at the Tillinghast Cup, hosted by St. John's at Quaker Ridge GC in Scarsdale, N.Y. After shooting a round of 312 on the opening day and sitting in 13th place, the Bearcats came back on the second day and shot a 293, matching the second-best round of the day and jumping past five teams. Junior Joe Kunz (Webster, N.Y.) and freshman Chris McLaughlin (Northport, N.Y.) were Binghamton's top finishers, as each tied for 17th place individually in a field of 72. Kunz shot rounds of 78-72=150 and McLaughlin carded scores of 76-74=150 on the par-69 course. Senior Adam Fuchs (Plainview, N.Y.) tied for 26th place with scores of 80-72=152. Junior Eric Vinal (Syracuse, N.Y.) and freshman Brad Moulton (Orangeville, Ont.) came in with identical rounds of 79-75=154 to tie for 37th place. James Madison University won the tournament with scores of 292-284=576, while Andrew Svoboda of St. John's earned medalist honors with a two-day total of 68-71=139.|
