Immediate Release: April 9, 2006 NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Binghamton golf shot 311 to tie for sixth place at the Yale Spring Opener, played Sunday at the par-70 campus course. The tournament was shortened to 18 holes after Saturday's round was washed out. Oklahoma Christian won the event with a 302. Dartmouth shot 305, followed by Quinnipiac (306), Central Connecticut State (308) and Seton Hall (310) in the top five. Binghamton and UConn each shot 311. Junior Jeff Wolniewicz (West Seneca, N.Y.) and sophomore Zach Vinal (Syracuse, N.Y.) each shot 76 and junior Aaron Ungvarsky (Wilmington, Mass.) carded a 79 to lead the Bearcats. Binghamton next competes at the New England Championship on April 14-15 in Providence, R.I. |
