Coach Al Walker...
On winning the game:
"Billy made a great play to give us the lead. It was a defensive battle and we're just thankful to get the win. "
On Joe White:
"Joe played very well. He had a great game today and made some big shots for us."
On Louie Karis:
"Louie was very important for us today. He hit a big shot late in the game."
On the closing seconds of the game:
"I was just in the right place at the right time. We knew Troy was going to shoot it and I got a lucky rebound. In the huddle coach said to make sure we got the rebound. I had missed a couple of block-outs earlier and I just wanted to get the rebound."
On the first half:
"We knew it was going to be a defensive war. We said at the half that a score in the 40's might be enough to win it. We just wanted to battle defensively and knock down some shots."
On hitting two free throws to ice the win:
"I've been working on my free throws a lot in practice and I told coach that I wanted to be in there at the end of games to take free throws. I didn't shoot them that well last year, but today I got a chance at the end of the game and I wanted to prove that I could hit them."
On heading home after playing first five games on the road:
"It's going to be good to get home. The Alaska trip kind of wore us down and some guys have been sick the last few days but we're looking forward to going home."
