BU basketball continues radio partnership with Citadel Communications
All men's and women's games, coaches' shows will air live on WNBF AM 1290

VESTAL, N.Y. -- Binghamton University basketball and Citadel Communications are teaming together to broadcast another season of Bearcats basketball in 2008-09.
the eighth consecutive year, all BU men's and women's games will air on Citadel stations WNBF News Radio 1290 (primary) and WYOS AM 1360 (secondary). Roger Neel begins his 11th season as the play-by-play voice of the men's basketball team while Robert Ford starts his third season as the women's broadcaster.

In addition to the local broadcast offering, out-of-town BU fans can access streaming audio for home and away games, and streaming video for home games at the official BU athletics website,

"We are very excited to once again be the radio home of BU Men's and Women's Basketball," Citadel Communications Market Manager Marybeth Walsh said. "This is a great partnership with the University. The growth of both programs over the past decade has been truly spectacular."

In addition to the games, WNBF will again air "Horizons Bearcats Hoop Talk" - a 30-minute coaches' show at 7 p.m. on 14 Mondays throughout the season. The show, which alternately features head coaches Kevin Broadus and Nicole Scholl, is sponsored by Horizons Federal Credit Union. The kick-off show will be broadcast Monday night from the Events Center, as part of BU's preseason Hoopfest Banquet.
