Coach Al Walker...

On the game:

"Wow, what a great game. It was so big today. We got such a big crowd, and we didn't want the crowd to slide out of it. I can't think of a better game than how we opened up. We had to put our heart on the line and make plays. That was awesome. It was an intense game, and hopefully a sign of future success in the Events Center."

On Brandon Carter:

"Brandon Carter was absolutely amazing. When it got to crunch time, he stuck a three in the left corner. He had a big drive on the right block and made free throws down the stretch. Brandon showed why he is one of the premier players in America East. He is as good, if not the best captain I have ever been associated with. It inspires me to do my best job because he really deserves the best."

On getting contributions from many different players:

"It was a great, great game by everybody. Alex (Adediran) kept us in it early, and how about Brett Watson playing 20-plus minutes and doing a great job defensively. He took care of the ball and he got it to our offense."

"Joey White did a great job and Joel Casseus was great on defense. We've got a good rotation now. The guys are comfortable with their roles. We're making plays on both ends of the floor and we're competing at a very high level right now. For some people who maybe haven't come to see us yet, this is a great time to come out and watch us play."

On the student support:

"That was fantastic. The students were absolutely fabulous. In the second half, we were down one and the students gave us two unbelievable defensive stops with their tremendous support. It was a great, great atmosphere."

Brandon Carter...

On his 27-point performance:

"I'm just trying to make plays for my team. We struggled in the first half, and the coaching staff just told me to make the best of my opportunities in the second half."

On the end of the game:

"I wanted to knock down the free throws. Coach wanted me at the line at the end of the game and we just didn't want to give the other team the ball."

On the emotions of playing the first game in the Events Center:

"I want to thank our fans for sticking with us the first five minutes. We had some jitters coming into the game and made some poor decisions in the opening minutes. We just wanted to stay in the game. Joel Casseus got us going with a couple of baskets and we went from there. The fans gave us a big lift down the stretch. They gave us great support."

On getting the team's fourth straight win:

"A lot of our battle is just playing against ourselves. Hartford is a great team, but we executed the game plan. We need to bring enery to every game. We did that tonight and we've done it the last couple of games."

On two upcoming road games against Hartford and Maine:

"It's a big challenge to go on the road and play those two teams. We have to bring energy to the game and play to the best of our abilities."

Billy Williams...

On a bruise he sustained during the game:

"It's just a small bandage, nothing big. It doesn't matter in a game like this.

On the game:

The crowd was great, and it's a thrill to see people out there cheering for you. The Events Center looks great, and it was nice to see my fellow students out there."

On the game's opening minutes:

"We couldn't get a basket or a rebound, it seemed. We were making a lot of turnovers. But overall, we're playing better ball than earlier in the year. We're feeling good right now, and it helps when you go on the road.
