Time Warner Sports to televise Feb. 14 and Feb. 27 BU men's basketball games

VESTAL, N.Y.--The Binghamton University Athletic Department has announced that its men's basketball home games on Feb. 14 and Feb. 27 will be televised by Time Warner Sports. Binghamton faces New Hampshire at 7 p.m. on Feb. 14 and hosts Albany on Feb. 27, also at 7 p.m.

"Time Warner Sports is thrilled to team up with Binghamton University Athletics for these telecasts," Time Warner Syracuse Division General Manager Doug Logan said. "Bearcats Basketball is quickly becoming one of the premiere programs in the America East Conference and we are delighted to deliver this high-quality, Division I basketball to our two million subscribers throughout Upstate New York."

"We are looking forward to working with Doug Logan and his team at Time Warner Sports," Binghamton University Senior Associate Athletic Director Jason Siegel said. "We have a terrific relationship with Time Warner Cable here in Binghamton and are excited about the opportunity to extend the Binghamton University brand to over two million subscribers throughout Upstate New York."

Both games will be aired live in the Binghamton and Albany areas. In Binghamton, the games will be aired on Channel 23. Check local listings for additional airing dates and times.

Longtime Binghamton men's basketball radio announcer Roger Neel will handle the play-by-play for both games. Joining Neel will be John Caveny, as the color commentator, and Jen Wegmann, as the sideline reporter.

Neel is currently the sports director for Citadel Communications and hosts a morning show on WNBF AM 1290 each weekday. Caveny, a men's basketball Hall of Famer at Le Moyne College, was the radio analyst for the Binghamton men's team from 1999-2003. Wegmann, a 1994 graduate of Binghamton, was a Division III women's basketball All-American her senior year and was inducted into the BU Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000.

Robert Ford, the play-by-play announcer for the Binghamton women's basketball team and the Binghamton Mets, will handle radio duties for the Feb. 14 game. Matt Waymire, the Sports Director at WICZ TV and play-by-play announcer for the Binghamton women's basketball team from 2000-06, will assume the same responsibilities for the Feb. 27 game. Both games will be aired on WNBF AM 1290 in the Binghamton area.
