Release: November 5, 2008
Time Warner Cable Sports will air five games and MSG Networks will broadcast the other three. Time Warner will kick-off the television slate with the opening exhibition game against Buffalo State on November 14.
Veteran play-by-play announcer Roger Neel will work alongside color commentator John Caveny and sidelines reporter Jen Wegmann on the Time Warner broadcasts. That trio worked on last year's Time Warner basketball broadcasts as well. Neel is BU's longtime radio voice and Caveny is a Hall of Fame member and former basketball player at Le Moyne College. Wegmann '94 is a former BU basketball standout and Hall of Fame member.
The partnership with Time Warner has expanded in the last two years to include Bearcats baseball, soccer and lacrosse games along with additional basketball events.
Time Warner Cable Sports is proud to partner with Binghamton University Athletics in cablecasting these games to Bearcats fans and our two million subscribers throughout the state, TWCS Director, Doug Logan said. We consider Bearcats Athletics to be an excellent program and a valuable addition to our extensive, live coverage of local and regional sports.
In addition to the eight men's games, two women's regular season games will be televised. The complete television schedule is below. Additional regular season and postseason games may be added at a later date.
