Immediate Release: October 3, 2006 We have once again produced a highly competitive schedule, head coach Ed Stephenson said. Our guys competed well last year with a comparable schedule, but we were not consistent. We will look to remedy that this year. Coached by John Desko, the Orangemen have won nine NCAA titles, the most recent of which came in 2004. The Cavaliers, meanwhile, went undefeated in 2006 and captured their fourth NCAA crown. The
game against Virginia marks the first time ever that the Bearcats
will square off against the defending national champions in men's
lacrosse. Earlier in the year, the men's soccer team traveled
to defending champion Maryland on August 27. In America East play, Binghamton has road games against defending champion UMBC on April 14 and Stony Brook on April 21. Home conference games come against Hartford (March 31), Vermont (April 7) and Albany (April 28). Starting
times have yet to be announced. |
