Men's lacrosse ranked No. 1 in defense among NCAA Division I
teams

VESTAL, N.Y.-- The NCAA has released its Division I men's lacrosse
statistics and Binghamton is currently the No. 1 defense team.
Through two games, the Bearcats lead all NCAA Division I squads
with a 2.00 goals against average. In addition, Binghamton also
ranks first in penalty kills, having not allowed a goal in all
seven man-down situations.
Junior goalie Larry
Kline (Beverly, Mass.) has posted a Division I-best 2.00
goals against average. He has also turned in a .862 save percentage.
The Bearcats (1-1) dropped
their season-opener to No. 15 Drexel 3-2 on March 1. This past
Saturday, however, they bounced back to defeat Marist 5-1.
Binghamton hosts Sacred Heart (3-0) on Saturday at 2 p.m. at
the Bearcats Sports Complex. The Pioneers are currently receiving
votes in the USILA Top 20 Poll. |
