Binghamton signs two local high school players

VESTAL, N.Y.--The Binghamton men’s lacrosse team has received national letters of intent from two local high school players, both of whom will join the squad for the 2003 season.

John Gaudet (Binghamton, N.Y.) is an attacker from Binghamton High School. He has accumulated 31 points so far this season and was named a scholar-athlete.

“John is a very strong player who sees the field very well,” said Binghamton head coach Ed Stephenson. “He moves with the strength to overpower defensemen.”

Matt DeCirce (Binghamton, N.Y.) is a midfielder and also is from Binghamton High School. He was named second-team all-league last season.

“Matt has exceptional speed,” said Stephenson. “He is an elusive player with a great work ethic.”
