Binghamton men's lacrosse attains highest GPA in conference for sixth straight year

VESTAL, N.Y.-- For the sixth consecutive academic year, the Binghamton men's lacrosse team has posted the highest overall GPA for its sport in the America East Conference. Their collective GPA for 2009-10 was a 3.19.

Since becoming an intercollegiate program in 2002, Binghamton has had six recruiting classes that have graduated. Every one of those groups has been part of the highest ranked academic squad in the conference their senior season.

“I’m very proud of our team’s commitment to academic excellence," head coach Ed Stephenson said. "They have carried on a program tradition that began with our first recruiting class in 2002-03. We have developed a culture of academic excellence, which will serve our student-athletes well into the future.”
