Binghamton men's lacrosse falls 16-2 at No. 3 Syracuse

Box Score

SYRACUSE, N.Y.-- Senior attack Mike Leville scored a game-high four goals, leading No. 3 Syracuse (5-1) to a 16-2 win over Binghamton (2-2) in a non-conference men's lacrosse game on Saturday afternoon at the Carrier Dome. The loss snaps the Bearcats' two-game winning streak.

After eight minutes of scoreless action, the Orange ripped off six goals in a span of 12:24. Sophmore midfielder Andy Cook (Vestal, N.Y.) cut the deficit to 6-1 with 3:40 left in the first half but Leville responded with his second goal of the game just 1:13 later.

A 5-0 third quarter by Syracuse put the game out of reach. Binghamton's only other goal came from sophomore midfielder Steve Carlson (Penn Yan, N.Y.) early in the fourth quarter.

Binghamton heads to No. 7 Cornell on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
