Chavez and Neville named NSCAA/adidas All-East Region Scholars

VESTAL, N.Y. -- Senior back Adam Chavez (Endicott, N.Y.) and junior midfielder Barry Neville (Mearns Castle, Scotland) have been named to the NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-East Region Team. Chavez was named to the first team while Neville earned third-team honors.

Chavez concluded his outstanding career with his second straight first-team All-Northeast Region selection. He was also named the America East Conference Defender of the Year, first-team all-conference for the second year in a row and made his first appearance on the America East Fall Academic Squad.

Neville was named first-team all-conference this past fall and was named to the America East All-Tournament team for the second consecutive season. He was the tournament MVP in 2006.

The NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-East Region Teams were selected based on a combination of an individual's academic and athletic accomplishments.The National Scholar Team will be announced later in the month.

Binghamton finished 14-6-0 this past season and won its second consecutive America East regular-season title. The Bearcats also advanced to the their fifth consecutive conference championship game, which ties the America East record held by Boston University (1993-97).
