Binghamton-Maryland Wrap Up

Quotes from both Binghamton Head Coach Paul Marco and Maryland Head Coach Sasho Cirovski following Tuesday night's game in College Park, Md. The Terps snapped the Bearcats' eight-game unbeaten streak in a contest that was halted for 45 minutes due to lightning.

Binghamton Head Coach Paul Marco

"I thought our guys played extremely hard and competed very well. Obviously, Maryland is one of the best teams in the country. Once we settled in to the game, I thought our experienced players stepped up and played very well."

"We gave Maryland problems at times tonight. We were very good on the counter-attack. We hit the post before they scored so it could have been 1-0 us with them chasing us the rest of the game."

"It was a fantastic strike that Maryland scored on. (Jason) Stenta was great tonight. It had to be a great goal for them to beat us."

Maryland Head Coach Sasho Cirovski

"I am pleased that we got the result tonight against a very good opponent. Binghamton made things difficult for us. They have a very good backline and a great goalkeeper in Jason Stenta."

"I think Binghamton is a very well-coached and well-organized team. I think they are going to be a handful the rest of the year."

"I knew Binghamton was going to be a good team this year. Last season, they just missed out on making the NCAA Tournament. They are the type of team we will see in the NCAA Tournament this year."
