ALBANY, N.Y.- Junior forward Cameron Keith scored a goal and added an assist, leading Binghamton (6-2-3, 0-0-0 AE) to a 3-0 win over Albany (7-3-0, 1-1-0 AE) in an America East Conference men's soccer game on Wednesday afternoon at the Albany Varsity Field. With the win, the Bearcats open the conference portion of their schedule with a victory for the fourth consecutive season.

"I was proud of the way our guys conducted themselves today," head coach Paul Marco said. "It was a slow start by both teams but our team got going quick. Our backline was special today."

Keith set up the first goal by senior forward Justin Leskow in the 21st minute. He crossed the ball to Leskow who was eight yards from the goal. Leskow then one-touched the ball past Albany goalkeeper Stewart Ceus.

In the 60th minute, the Bearcats had a free kick from 20 yards out to the left of the goal. Senior back Mark Wood tapped the ball and fellow senior back
Barry Neville fired it into the upper-right corner of the net.

The third goal came in the 81st minute when Keith stole the ball from an Albany defender 10 yards out from the goal. He then fired the ball past Ceus for his team-high fourth goal of the season.

Junior goalkeeper Jason Stenta made nine saves to record his sixth shutout of the season and the 26th shutout of his career. That breaks the school record of 25, set by Adam Napell (1986-89).

Binghamton heads to Boston Univ. for a 1 p.m. game on Saturday.
