Bearcats extend unbeaten streak to eight matches

Game File

VESTAL, N.Y.-- Despite holding a 23-9 advantage in shots, Binghamton (4-4-4, 2-0-2 AE) could only manage a 1-1 tie at Albany (4-8-1, 0-3-1 AE) in an America East men's soccer game on Saturday afternoon. Despite the tie, the Bearcats extended their unbeaten streak to eight games, their longest such streak since going 5-0-3 from August 31- Sept. 26, 2008.

The Great Danes scored in just the sixth minute when Sander Anker finished off a cross with a shot that went just inside the left post. In the 40th minute, however, sophomore Adam Whitehead coverted a free kick from 25 yards out.

Binghamton returns home next Saturday at 7 p.m. for a game against defending conference champion Stony Brook.
