For Immediate Release: November 30, 2006 Contact: David O'Brian (dobrian@binghamton.edu) Phone: 607-777-6478 Chavez earns NSCAA All-Northeast Region second team honors VESTAL, N.Y.-- Junior back Adam Chavez (Endicott, N.Y./Union-Endicott) has been named to the 2006 NSCAA All-Northeast Region second team. It marks the first time in his career that he has earned Regional All-America honors. Chavez was the anchor of a Binghamton defense that shut out six of its last 10 opponents and captured its second America East Conference title in four years. Following the regular season, he earned first-team America East all-conference honors. "Adam did a great job this year," head coach Paul Marco said. "He has really grown into himself this year. His temperment and maturity have improved." Binghamton (9-7-5) advanced to the NCAA Tournament before losing 2-1 to No. 17 Harvard in the first round.
