Chavez and Keith named first-team All-Northeast Region

Complete NSCAA/adidas All-Region Teams

VESTAL, N.Y. -- Senior back Adam Chavez (Endicott, N.Y.) and sophomore forward Cameron Keith (Aberdeenshire, Scotland) have earned NSCAA/adidas All-Northeast Region honors. Both players were named to the first team.

Chavez, who earned second-team honors in 2006, was named the 2007 America East Conference Defender of the Year. He is also a two-time, first-team all-conference selection and was named to this year's America East Fall Academic Squad.

Keith was named the 2007 America East Conference Striker of the Year after posting a conference-best 10 goals. He was named to the Oct. 8 College Soccer News National Team of the Week and in the current NCAA Division I statistics, ranks 18th with 0.63 goals per game.

"Having two first-team (All-Northeast Region) selections is a great honor for our program," head coach Paul Marco said. "Adam has had a great career for us and we are excited to have Cameron with us for two more seasons."

This marks the second time in the past three seasons that the Bearcats have placed a pair of players on the first team All-Northeast Region squad. Graham Munro, a third-team College Soccer News All-American, and Danilo were both picked in 2005.

Binghamton finished 14-6-0 this past season and won its second consecutive America East regular-season title. The Bearcats also advanced to the their fifth consecutive conference championship game, which ties the America East record held by Boston University (1993-97).
