named America East Conference men's soccer Rookie of the Week
VESTAL, N.Y.--Freshman forward/midfielder Bryan Arnault (Clay, N.Y./ Cicero-North Syracuse) has been named the America East Conference men's soccer Rookie of the Week for Oct. 27-Nov. 2. He earned the honor by virtue of his one-goal, one-assist performance in Binghamton's 2-0 win at New Hampshire on Saturday.
Currently, Arnault is tied for second on the team with 11 points (four goals, three assists). He has been instrumental in the Bearcats' outstanding 2003 campaign, in which they finished the regular season with a 10-2-6 record and earned the No. 2 seed in the upcoming America East Conference Tournament.
"We knew Bryan was going to be a good player," head coach Paul Marco said. "But he has still done better than we could have anticipated. He has come in, embraced his role on the team and has been a pleasure to work with."
Binghamton hosts either Maine or Hartford in the America East Conference semifinals on Saturday at 1 p.m. at West Gym Field.
