Chavez named America East Conference Men's Soccer Co-Player of the Week

VESTAL, N.Y.-- Senior back Adam Chavez (Endicott, N.Y.) has been named the America East Confernece Co-Player of the Week. He shares the honor with Steve King of UMBC.

Chavez was the anchor of a Binghamton backfield which recorded a pair of 1-0 shutouts at the Pittsburgh Invitational Tournament. He was named to the all-tournament team and was instrumental in the Bearcats surrendering just seven shots on goal during the weekend. The Bearcats have yet to allow a goal this season and at 4-0, are off to their best start since 1987.

Binghamton heads to Bucknell on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. game.
