men's soccer loses 4-0 at Cornell
Red holds 23-5 shot advantage, scores twice in each half
ITHACA, N.Y. -- Stephen Reisert had a goal and an assist, powering
Cornell (3-1-2) to a 4-0 win over Binghamton (3-4-0) in a non-conference
men's soccer game on Wednesday night at Berman Field. The loss
snapped the Bearcats' four-game unbeaten streak against the Big
Red, dating back to 2007.
Reisert assisted on Patrick Slogic's game-opening goal in the
25th minute and scored in the 36th minute, giving Cornell a 2-0
lead at the half. Cornell's final two goals came in a span of
eight minutes midway through the second half. Tyler Regan scored
in the 62nd minute and was followed by Matt Kagle in the 70th
The Big Red's domination extended to the shot count, where they
held a 23-5 advantage.
Binghamton returns home on Saturday at 7 p.m. to face Adelphi
on Homecoming Weekend. The match will be televised regionally
by Time Warner Sports.
