Binghamton men's soccer loses 2-1 in overtime at Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. -- Sophomore forward Kevin Hall scored his second goal of the night with 1:27 left in the first sudden-death overtime, leading Hartford (6-3-2, 1-0-1 AE) to a 2-1 win over first-place Binghamton (9-3-0, 2-1-0 AE) in an America East Conference game on Saturday evening. The loss snaps the Bearcats' four-game winning streak.

Hall, who now has three goals for the season, deflected in a shot by Oswald Adu to end the match. Daniel Antunez was also credited with an assist.

Binghamton took a 1-0 halftime lead as sophomore forward Cameron Keith (Aberdeenshire, Scotland) scored his team-high sixth goal of the season at the 40:21 mark. He finished off a cross from junior midfielder Pablo Trillo (Ozone Park, N.Y.) by heading it into the net. Junior midfielder Justin Leskow (Endwell, N.Y.) was also credited with an assist.

Hall, however, tied the game in the 73rd minute when took a pass from Andreas Blamo, who chipped the ball over the Binghamton defense. He then fired it in the the right corner of the net, denying the Bearcats their second consecutive shutout.

Hartford outshot Binghamton 14-10.

The Bearcats return home for a 7 p.m. non-conference game against Colgate on Tuesday night at the Bearcats Sports Complex.
