Keith named America East Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week

Conference Release

VESTAL, N.Y. --Sophomore forward Cameron Keith (Aberdeenshire, Scotland) has been named the America East Conference Player of the Week for Oct. 1. It marks the first time in his career that he has received a weekly accolade.

Keith recorded the first hat trick by a Binghamton player at the Division I level when he scored three times in the Bearcats’ 3-0 win over Cornell Saturday. His heroics were witnessed by a record crowd of 1,862 as the men’s soccer program played its first game at the new $4.2 million Bearcat Sports Complex.

Keith leads the Bearcats with three goals and seven points.

The Bearcats have now earned a weekly honor four times this season. Sophomore goalkeeper Jason Stenta (Binghamton, N.Y.) was named the America East Player of the Week for Sept. 4, senior back Adam Chavez (Endicott, N.Y.) earned Co-Player honors the following week and freshman forward Scott Zobre (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) was named the conference's Rookie of the Week last week.

Binghamton (7-2-0) hosts Boston on Saturday at 7 p.m.
