Binghamton men's soccer loses 1-0 at Lafayette

Box score

EASTON, Pa.-- B.J. Glenn scored in the 55th minute, leading unbeaten Lafayette (4-0-1) to a 1-0 win over Binghamton (2-2-0) in the final round of the Lafayette Soccer Classic on Sunday afternoon at Oakes Stadium. The loss marks the first time that the Bearcats have been shut out this season.

Glenn found himself in the right place at the right time in delivering the decisive shot of the game. After Wayne Maminski's header hit the post, the ball came toward Glenn who fired it into the net.

Lafayette outshot Binghamton 11-7 for the game.

Binghamton heads to the New Mexico Tournament next weekend and will start play with a 7 p.m. EST game against Gonzaga.

NOTE: Lafayette received a vote in last week's NSCAA/adidas Top 25 poll ... sophomore midfielder Ryan Walter and freshman forward Jake Keegan were named to the Lafayette Soccer Classic All-Tournament Team.
