Men's soccer team ties Northeastern 1-1

Box score

VESTAL, N.Y.--Senior forward Charles Darkwah (Toronto, Ontario) scored his team-leading eighth goal of the season as Binghamton (7-1-5, 1-1-2 AE) came away with a 1-1 tie at Northeastern in an America East Conference soccer game on Saturday night. With the tie, the Bearcats are now unbeaten in their last three games (1-0-2).

"I was proud of our team's effort tonight," head coach Paul Marco said. "We were pretty banged up and while we would have loved to have gone on the road and gotten three points, we'll take one against a team like Northeastern."

Darkwah netted an unassisted goal in the first half to give the Bearcats a 1-0 advantage. It was his second goal in as many games. The host Huskies, however, got the equalizer in the second half.

Binghamton hosts Stony Brook on Saturday at 1 p.m.
