Men's soccer team posts second-best improvement in the nation during 2003 season

The Binghamton men's soccer team, which captured the America East Conference title and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, has the second-biggest improvement among NCAA Division I teams during the 2003 season. The Bearcats finished 12-3-7 in 2003 after going 6-13-1 in 2002. The improvement of 7.0 games trailed only Western Michigan, which had a 7.5 game improvement.

The Bearcats reeled off a 14-game unbeaten streak during the season, going 8-0-6 from Sept. 30-Nov. 22. They shut out a school-record 16 straight opponents and had the top-ranked defense in the nation.
