Stenta named America East Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week

VESTAL, N.Y.-- For the third time in his career, sophomore goalkeeper Jason Stenta (Binghamton, N.Y.) has been named the America East Confernece Player of the Week. He earned the accolade by virtue of his performance at the Radford Highlander Classic this past weekend.

Stenta recorded a pair of 1-0 solo shutouts and led the Bearcats (2-0-0) to the tournament title. He recorded a pair of saves against the host Highlanders on Saturday and three more in Sunday's over No. 30 Winthrop on Sunday. At the conclusion of the tournament, Stenta was named the Most Outstanding Defensive Player.

For his career, Stenta now has 10.0 shutouts.

Up next for Binghamton is a 5 p.m. game on Friday against Robert Morris in the opening round of the Pittsburgh Invitational Tournament. The Bearcats will then face the host Panthers two days later at 2:30 p.m.
