Binghamton men's soccer team inks three New York high school seniors

VESTAL, N.Y.--The Binghamton men's soccer team has announced the signings of Cody Germain (Glenmont, N.Y.), Pablo Trillo (Ozone Park, N.Y.) and Antony Tellez (Fairport, N.Y.), each of whom has signed a National Letter of Intent and will begin their freshman season with the Bearcats in the fall.

Germain is a midfielder/forward from Bethlehem High School. As a senior, he was named All-New York State and was a NSCAA All-New York Region selection. In addition, Germain was also a member of the Region I Olympic Development Program (ODP) Team.

"Cody is a dynamic player with a great passion for the game," head coach Paul Marco said. "He is clever on the ball and has the ability to play right away."

Trillo is a midfielder from Archbishop High School. He was named first-team All-CHSAA as a senior and was the team MVP his final two seasons. On the club level, Trillo has been a member of BW Gottschee, a squad that has won four New York State championships.

"Pablo is a very good passer of the ball," Marco said. "He is the type of player who knows how to link the backfield and the forward line."

Tallez is a central midfielder from Fairport High School. He is a two-time all-county and all-league selection and has been involved with the Western New York ODP squad.

"Anthony is a very strong competitor," Marco said. "He is an athleticly gifted player who will help our team."

Binghamton has now received a National Letter of Intent from five players during the offseason. Earlier in the year, the Bearcats announced the signing of striker Justin Leskow (Endwell, N.Y.) and goalkeeper Jason Stenta (Binghamton, N.Y.).

"All five players have given us a very solid recruiting class," Marco said. "They will allow us to continue the success that we've had the past few years. We are not done (signing players) yet."
