Game stats

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.-- Junior forward Scott Zobre netted his first goal of the season, leading Binghamton (3-3-0) to a 1-0 win over UC-Davis (2-5-0) in the final day of the Nike/TLC Plumbing & Utilities Invitational on Sunday morning. The weekend tournament is being hosted by the University of New Mexico.

"I thought our guys had a great response today after Friday's (overtime loss)," head coach Paul Marco said. "We played two very good opponents this weekend and improved as a team."

Zobre finished off a cross from senior back Kyle Kucharski in the 26th minute. He headed the ball just inside the far post, beating Aggie goalkeeper Ryan McGowan in the process. Kucharski now has a team-high four assists so far this season.

Binghamton outshot UC-Davis 11-9 for the game.

In goal for the Bearcats, senior goalkeeper Jason Stenta recorded four saves to extend his program record to 33 career shutouts.

The Bearcats return to the East Coast for a Wednesday night game at Cornell. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
