Binghamton men's soccer defeats New Hampshire 2-0
VESTAL, N.Y.-- Junior forward Cameron Keith scored a pair
of goals, leading Binghamton (9-4-3, 3-1-0 AE) to a 2-0 win over
New Hampshire (6-5-4, 1-4-2 AE in an America East Conference
men's soccer game on Saturday evening at Bearcats Sports Complex.
The game, which was played in a driving rain storm, marked the
Bearcats third consecutive home shutout victory.
"I thought our guys came out and withstood the rain pretty
well," head coach Paul Marco said. "UNH is a very well-coached
and well-organized team and we had to have some great moments
to beat them. Camy was outstanding tonight."
Keith now has four career multiple goal games and eight career
game-winning goals. He now leads the Bearcats with seven goals
and 15 total points.
In the 36th minute of play, Keith knocked in a deflected pass
to break open a scoreless game. His second goal came in the 68th
minute off a pass from
senior midfielder Darren McAllister. He fired the ball
in the net from five yards out.
Although the Bearcats were outshot 8-5, junior goalkeeper Jason
Stenta made four saves to extend his school record to 29
Binghamton hosts Stony Brook
on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
