Binghamton came out strong in the first half, outshooting the Catamounts 7-5 and taking a 1-0 lead into the break. Freshman Danilo (Sao Paulo, Brazil/ The Interlagos School) headed in a corner kick by junior midfielder Michael Austin (Oneonta, N.Y.) at 32:10. The Bearcats had a couple of other scoring chances later in the first half but were unable to stretch the lead.
We are very frustrated to lose a game like this that we could have taken care of in the first half, head coach Paul Marco said. We were winning practically every ball in the first half and had our chances. We didnt compete as well in the second half.
