Binghamton swimming & diving lands two swimmers on All-Academic Team
Sophomores Dan Feeley and Joe Perez-Rogers get the nod from the America East

VESTAL, N.Y. -- The Binghamton swimming and diving team had two sophomores recognized for their efforts outside of the pool today. Dan Feeley and Joe Perez-Rogers were tabbed for the America East All-Academic Team.

Feeley was second on the men's list with a 3.83 gpa in Economics, while Perez-Rogers maintains a 3.44 while studying Mechanical Engineering. Feeley grabbed an eighth place finish at the conference meet in the 500 free, while Perez-Rogers placed seventh in 100 back (50.77) and the 50 free (21.29).

The America East guidelines for the All-Academic squads for team sports are based on the number of athletes that participate in a contest at one time or are made up of 10 student-athletes for individual sports. To be nominated for the distinction, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve for their team and participate in at least 50 percent of their team?s games or competitions. In the classroom, student-athletes must have a 3.30 GPA and have completed at least one calendar year at their institution. Freshmen are not eligible for consideration.
